I saw a man this morning
Who did not wish to die;
I ask, and cannot answer,
if otherwise wish I.

~ Patrick Shaw-Stewart

Written during 3 days leave from WW1, where he died shortly after his return to the war.

@Robert Gentel,
We don't spend much time on it, but there's been few occasions when I think, who is going to be next amongst my family and friends. Me?
I also think about family and friends who have passed on. Not that often, but they do come into my mind.
My son. My best friend. My childhood friend. Many people I've met during my travels.
