Ireland was a lot of fun for me, but that was twice in the 1970's . . . it has experienced a sea change since then . . .
Sweden and Denmark for me. Something about those Scandanavian ladies...
I've been to Scotland a couple of times. I liked it very much and England, too.
Not alot of you are saying England, why not?
I would like to add Spain to my list of favorite European countries.
AND Switzerland is not far behind.
My favourite country is Greece of course, where I live
.
I like Belgium a lot. Good food, nice hiking, friendly people and the best beers.
The Ardennes is a lot like the Great Smoky Mountains nat. park , nature-wise, so it's a nice hike. Plus, there are nice, little ancient villages in it. The down side is, in the Ardennes-area, they don't seem to speak English or Dutch, only French - which I can't speak. Nice people though ...
Flanders, the North-Western part of Belgium, is very nice. Beautiful cities, nice museums, friendly people (most of them speak English very well), plus the beers are the best. I'd recomment Jupiler myself ...
neh neh my vote is Suomi- Finland.. of course.. i lived there all of last year (04 05 school year) as an exchange student.. i visited russia, estonia, latvia, lithuania, sweden, norway and denmark while there but the finns are just the best friends EVER
I don't have a favorite country yet... nor there is a city that beckons me to visit her the 2nd time. But who knows in the future?
