On behalf of myself...

On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to welcome you to my new house.

Is "and myself " necessary to indicate I also welcome my friends to my new house or is it unnecessary because it is understood?

Thanks.

Since you are, by definition, a member of your own family, the words 'and myself' are redundant and can be omitted.

Is 'house' wrong?

@tanguatlay,
Home is probably better.

House describes a particular type of building.

Home is the place where you live and feel that you belong to.
