A remote-controlled vehicle covered in zebra dung is being used by a student to study the behaviour of lions in captivity.

The black-and-white striped device, dubbed the Lion Rover, is being trialled at Blairdrummond Safari Park, near Stirling, by psychology undergraduate Mark Jones.

Mr Jones, 21, from High Wickham in Hastings, East Sussex, said a BBC nature documentary inspired him to come up with the innovative research tool.
