Besides which, i was completely serious. Quite a few of the dogs and cats at the local fodder have extra digits.

You barkin' at me, Puppy?

Be honest, rabbit

Who do you think's going to win between a rabbit and a hound dog? Besides which, my dog is extremely sophisticated and technologically minded (notice attached jet pack). I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your bunny's a stoner.

You'll soon learn, Eccles, that behind the fastness of the Pacific, in her antipodean burrow, Our Dear Miss Wabbit is given to vilifying canines with impunity.

Yes, except I have the raw advantage for the following reasons:

1) We both live in the same city and my connections and raw physical strength are more than a match for her pure

2) Everybody in Australia hates rabbits to an extent that you Northern Hemispherians never understand. For once in my life, the mob is on my side.

3) The Wabbit smokes like a factory even though she is obviously highly flammable (at least witht he help of some turps) . That, and it won't be to hard to slip her a bit of mixymatosis or calici virus without anybody batting an eyelid

$) Why are med students such brats? This is completely unrelated but I've always wondered.

Well, i for one know why wabbits enjoy such unparalleled popularity in the antipodes, and i would suggest her mere presence is indicative of powerful survival instinct and ability not to be underestimated . . .

Eccles--

Being young and playing with notions of Live and Death tend to provoke either philosophical thoughts or callow actions--or both.

We're all young and all our courses involve exposing us to so much death and decay that we become desensitised. Also, on average, the med students are in their mid to late twenties, which isn't so young.

Anyhow, I shouldn't grumble we all cope with death however we must although I suspect the answer has more to do with money and privelege. Occasional bratty behaviour is pardonable.

Just in case you thought that I'd forgotton, Stoner Wabbit:

You can't run from the calici virus, Wabbit HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay, ever the peacemaker, snuffle snuffle snuggle, I mention that we have had, gads, is it still there, a famed for miles around restaurant called Larripin, at Patrick's Point in northern California. I loved the building, I liked the people (well, that is, the waitress), I appreciated what they had done with the site, of course I loved the view, I liked the wine, and then....

everything on the menu was too sweet.

but past my problem with that, and I am pretty sweetphobic for an american, I, as a relative newcomer to the vicinity who had looked about for a good place to eat, thought it was one of the best restaurants hereabouts, and thought it could have held its own among many.

But no, it ain't there no more.

I don't think Laripin (how do you spell that, anyway?) is there no'more because of the bit of sweet in the dishes, since people who pass through here really like that... but just because of the general economy here.

Sorry, girl goes on yet another tangent. Where the hell are my thumbs?

I've never read the word before tonight, although i heard it frequently as a child. I always assumed it would be spelt l-a-r-r-u-p-i-n-g . . .

You're right, I googled, it is Larrupin, (I think).

Can't tell if they are still there, re the site. I think maybe not. If I find out they are, I'll be back. Let me put it this way, they tried.

Well, someone liked it - http://www.humscape.com/dining/details.cfm/270

Sheesh, I know this is a tangent. But now I am on a quest to not be neg, it was really a thoughtful restaurant. Will post if I find more, though it isn't about catthumbs.

Pardon me while I go down a path to the Trinidad beach...

Don't get me started, Set.

I have failed miserably to demo the Larrupin - should it be still in business - as a good place via the internet, though if you drive 101 I'd suggest checking, not least because of the area. I'll post a few pics of Trinidad and cover my eyes, lest all be mad since ocean pics aren't cat pics. But I know you, you won't be mad.

Really, Trinidad has cats.
