Is it incorrect to use a comma after name in parenthesis?

So my friend and I got into a debate about the use of a comma after my "true" name in parenthesis. I am writing an artist biography that uses my artist name throughout the complete bio but I put in a reference to my real name just as anyone would in a biography. Is it improper to write it this way?

A Native of the Bay Area, Tiff (Tiffany Williams), is the youngest
of 3 siblings.

Is it improper to write it this way without the comma?

A Native of the Bay Area, Tiff (Tiffany Williams) is the youngest
of 3 siblings.

or are they both right?
thanks so much in advance for your help!

@peterpan2016,
If you are going to use the first comma you need the appositive (the second closing one) comma.

@Robert Gentel,
Hi Robert!

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
So that I follow correctly, since we've added the first comma, this sentence would be correct?

A Native of the Bay Area, Tiff (Tiffany Williams), is the youngest
of 3 siblings.

@peterpan2016,
Yes. By use both commas that way you are setting off words that are somewhat unnecessary to the sentence and are using commas correctly.

No problem. Edit: if you need a source for your debate see rule 5 here. http://www.grammarbook.com/punctuation/commas.asp

@peterpan2016,
Disagree with Bob. In the example you give, Pete, you don't need that second comma

Tes, do you

Robert is right. If you've got the first comma, you need the second one.
