Museum staff have recruited a battalion of flesh-eating beetles to help in the grisly task of stripping animal carcasses, it emerged.
The 10mm insects will be working behind the scenes at the Natural History Museum to expose perfectly preserved skeletons that can be used in research.
Many of the specimens kept in freezers at the London museum still have their flesh intact.
Since too, too solid flesh won't melt...needs must when the devil drives.
