My natural color hair is medium blonde. I've been highlighting using bleach and toner for years. Have never dyed my hair. Last week instead of doing a touch-up I decided to try a high-lift blonde to just brighten my hair. I didn't exactly follow the instructions. Since I didn't want to lighten just brighten, I decided to try a 30 volume developer instead of 40. The color is not bad, but there's a slight coppery orange cast to my hair. I know you can't tone hair that's been dyed, but is there something similar I can do that will fix this? I was also wondering if maybe I should put some darker ash blonde in my hair and just make new highlights from scratch. Then I thought should I just go buy 40 volume developer and try the high lift again. If someone could help me out with what the best and least damaging answer is, I would really appreciate it.
