Why they say "She didn't mind my coming by" not "She didn't mind me coming by"?
You can use either 'my coming by' or 'me coming by'. With gerunds (e.g. 'coming') the subject may take genitive case (e.g. 'my'), or the plain or accusative case ('me') which is is a less formal alternative usage.
