LONDON (Reuters) - Stephen Hunt of Colchester United has earned the second-fastest debutant's red card in English soccer history, being sent off against Chesterfield in the third division.

Hunt, a teenage defender signed from Southampton in the summer, came on as a 65th-minute substitute for Gavin Johnson and was sent off 59 seconds later for a foul on Tcham N'Toya who scored both of Chesterfield's goals in their 2-1 victory.

The record for the fastest sending off by a player making their debut in England was established by Jason Crowe of Arsenal who was red-carded 33 seconds after coming on as a substitute for Arsenal against Birmingham City in a League Cup match in October 1997.
