A Briton whose bicycle was stolen by a Mongolian horseman en route to China, was being helped out by the British embassy, who are tracking the thief, it has emerged.
Edward Genochio, 27, who has cycled around 10,000 miles since leaving the UK, was asleep when the thief tied a rope to his machine, which was locked to his tent, and rode off with it.
Freelance website designer Mr Genochio, who has 2,000 more miles to reach his final destination, Shanghai, said: "This thief really has thrown a spanner in the spokes, but having already come so far I'm not going to give up now."
