Honestly I'm having a hard time comprehending how religion works.
Is it like in skyrim where you can hear or see your god(s)/goddess(s)?
I know that isnt the best example but its the one that gets my idea across.
I wanted to ask about your religions. How do they work? what do they believe in?
What makes people blindly trust them?

It works like football or baseball or any group of people that gathers together to share some tales about human epic stories because its entertaining and people love it. If you killed all religions in the world in a decade you would get all sort of similar groups based on different set of beliefs but with the same structure and rules. Magic thinking is not just in Religion its everywhere. The current analysis that Religion is at fault and not human behaviour is dismayingly naive.

@WanderingCurious,
Consider the central issues and figures in your life:
Sports heroes.
Rock stars.
Your country.
Food
Money
All these are gods for some.

@Fil Albuquerque,
oh okay. But why do people try to make theirs seem better then everyone elses? Wouldn't people like to hear all about other people's stories?

@WanderingCurious,
Motivations may differ, some see it as a life or soul saving work, others see it as a continuation of their religious leaders ministry. Some just like to tell people about something that is important to them or makes them feel good.
Faith is a powerful motivator, and what it motivates people to do will differ from religion to religion.

It is also worth noting that everyone perceives the world through their own eyes bound by their own biases, and each one has a model of their universe according to their own understanding. This will often differ greatly even amongst those of the same religion, that is what makes humans interesting. Unfortunately too many people think their model of the universe is the only one worth considering Smile
