i made my best friend a mix cd when we went off to school... being from texas (houston) it was hard enough for me to go 500 miles from home, much less her trek to utah... it had songs about friends on it... two cds full of songs like james taylors you got a friend and michael smiths lean on me etc etc
i had a blast making it for her even tho it was extremely bittersweet to give it to her the night before she left
A mix CD is such a personal gift I find. I make them for my sister at Christmas to remind her of the songs of our youth together.
