Check out this live performance by Minnie Riperton singing "Loving You" on Midnight Special. Be sure to listen all the way to the end of the song. Right at the very end of the song she will sing the most effortless and clearest highest notes that I have ever heard in Pop or R&B music

@Real Music,
I love the studio recording. This performance outdoes it on the high notes.

Often studio recordings do sound better than live performances. There are times when live performance can be magical. This particular Al Green live performance I believe is one of those times. The amount of emotion, soul, and joy he puts into this performance is on whole nother level.This was aired on Soul Train in 1971. Tell me what you think.

@Real Music,
I had no idea he did that song. It's a good one. I don't listen to Al as a steady diet, but you can't deny he's a fine artist.

@farmerman,
Heres one where Mangione has cast a tuba for the bass lines and its jazzy but it comes off like some of our Nawlinns funeral music.
