I would suggest a side dish of Kim Chee ((I make my own - it's a relish))
A main course of Rice ((cooked in cool water first - makes it stickier))
A course of noodles ((It's where the Italians got their main dish!!))
Maybe a fish dish. Nothing big.
Small dish of white radish on the side.
Some sliced fruit.

In Korea - breakfast is not the main course - dinner is.

By the way - I absolutely loved my time in Korea. They are beautiful people.

Kamsahamnida (terrible spelling, but it means - Thank You.)
or, Ko Map Sum ni da - (sp again, but, means the same)

Ney = (Yes)

Very Happy Very Happy

------- Back again!!
I hope your student brings a large bottle of Soju. You must ask your student what that is!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh..... I only wish I could get that here.

Also, it should already be past breakfast by now - what did you have? Very Happy

He's coming tomorrow evening so it will be Sunday brek. He'll normally be doing his own shopping and cooking but things won't be open Sunday morning early.

Not going to provide a Koreaqn brek, though, he's here to learn English lang AND culture; would he like toast or cereal? I suppose cereal is too milky for the average east Asian.

Alternatively I could make idlis, steamed cakes made of a mixture of rice and fermented lentils from S India, served wtih a tomato and onion relish. More English than you'd think, we love our Indian food.

Actually, from what I have seen and heard on the net - the Korean menu is as diversified as the American menu.

Clary, Ask your guest what he wants. And, go get it......... Very Happy

Normally, it will be more peppery than an English dish...... Very Happy Ahhhhh, the good food of Korea - My favorite Asian cuisine of all time.....

Go get it is what I CAN'T do at that time of night/morning! It's OK, don't worry, I am not stressing about this. He can eat toast and drink tea or coffee and at 11 the supermarket will open and he can buy whatever he likes!
