can't get my favourite - and only one i liked - pumpkin pie anymore. we had a german baker (actually "konditor-meister" - sort of master baker/pastry chef - but he retired ... crying !!!)who made very small and rich and luscious pumpkin pies. i liked them hot with good vanilla icecream spooned on top ... and hot tea. hbg
I make a pretty mean one, but I'd hate to have to try to compete with that, hb!
honey is used to make a very nice german liqueur called "baerenfang" - "bear catcher" (honey with herbs and spices ... it doesn't just catch bears !)

goes great with hot tea to cure a cold ... or at least make you forget the cold
