Pomp and Circumstance
Words to first part of "Hail to the Chief":
Hail to the chief. He's the chief and he needs hailing.
Hail to the chief. He's your neighbor and your friend
Hail to the chief. He's your buddy and your neighbor
So, hail to the chief, evr'ybody, hail, hail, hail!...
(well something like that, anyway)
(Can't remember where for the life in me I heard that - probably one of my goofy relatives.)
Woo-woo!
(That's a train whistle)
baby's diaper ... (that's a woo-woo, too)
Loo loo, skip to m' loo...
Hopscotch
(One of my favorite movies, w/Matthau)
butterscotch, one of my favourite sweets
scotcharoos - a dessert treat I've been making since I was 5, a Rice Krispie mixture topped with a chocolate / butterscotch 'frosting'.
gummi bears
(read a funny story this morning while waiting in the doctor's office - the magazine is called "stitches"; it's a joke mag for physicians, lots of laughs.
doctor leaving for the office in the morning tells housekeeper that her daughter is not feeling well and staying at home. when she returns for lunch she finds daughter not at home. when she asks the hk where her daughter is, hk says she is at school. "how could you send my sick daughter to school ? " asks doctor. "hk : " i figured if she could it a pound of gummi bears, she was well enough to go to school".
doctor rushes off to school where she finds her daughter happily chasing around the school-yard with the other kids. when she calls her, daughter recognises mother, bends over and starts to whine. "i am sick to my stomach, ooooh, ahhh ..." daughter says. doctor/mother says : " it's from eating all those gummi bears !".
daughter : " it's not from eating gummi bears and as a doctor you should know that !" - end of story)
