My ex and I were going there for breakfast once, on a whim, I think it was when I was first in landarch school and wanted to see the place, including the grounds, and we went on a Sunday morning. We were fairly well dressed and presentable, but the tables were reserved (I think they were, but that was almost 20 yrs. ago now) and Donald Sutherland came along behind us, and as I remember he couldn't get in either. Some other friends used to go there for dinner, so I think it was a matter of reservations.
I knew there had to be a story!
