CANBERRA (Reuters) - Australia's Olympic athletes aren't the only ones coming under anti-doping scrutiny.
So are its cows.
An unidentified farmer and his cows have been sent home in disgrace from an agricultural exhibition in tropical Queensland state for performing "suspicious acts" on one of his cows' udder.
The bovine bust was made after judges at the Royal Queensland Show noticed that the cow's udder was unusually large.
Dairy detectives swooped on Monday and believe that an unidentified substance had been injected into the udder to make it look bigger.
"Police were called and stock squad inspectors were called on the night so they were all interviewed, the police are investigating it," exhibition spokesman Vivian Edwards told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio on Tuesday.
The cow, whose name has not been released by police, was believed to be resting comfortably after its ordeal.
