Positive thoughts flying south east.
Oh no (uh, not about the positive thoughts, obviously). Bay state prayers heading in a Southerly direction.
Am praying for him as I type.
Really sorry to hear this update, Bear.
I will pray that his condition improves from this hour forward.
Sorry I'm late - here you go! coming to Eric now.
Eric had three more surgeries this week. They did some grafts....reattached but not repaired or rebuilt the part of his diaphragm that was "hanging in the breeze".....as I said Monday, he lost more ribs and part of his left lung, but it looks as though the degenerative damage has stopped. He will be given two weeks to rest and strengthen now for more surgery,
Unfortunately he cannot breath without a ventilator, and has been and will be kept unconscious literally every minute for quite some time, and I can't imagine that being good for you,
but the good news is that his chances of survival are notched up.
He and his family have a long row to hoe however, so as long as you can, please remember him. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers for Eric thus far.....both his family and I believe the prayers and good vibes have helped.
Keeping up the prayers, Bear. For him and his family.
He still has my thoughts and hopes, Bear; I hope to hear of him alive and kicking in the none-too-far future.
I'm still here with hopeful thoughts and prayers.
Thought of Eric when I got the update on the weekend's concert.
Will keep on sending positive thoughts south and east.
thanks to all....it's human nature to forget things as the sense of urgency wanes.....but I'm trying to keep this thing in the front of my addled lobes as long as possible....and I appreciate you folks......
I continue to pray for God's blessings upon Eric and also for the doctors and nurses who are using their God given talents and care to make his survival and recovery possible.
I know that being unconscience is probably the best thing for Eric, but it's so hard for those who love him to see him so vulnerable.
I agree with Doglover.
I'm pushing this thread up and wishing more fortune to Eric.
Just checking in to keep up on the news and to reassert my good wishes for him
Checking in as well with good vibes.
Here's the latest...they've gone ahead and done a tracheotomy on Eric and they're going to do a "muscle wrap" in the next ten days....this consists of taking back muscle and in a medical procedure I don't really understand, wrap it around his abdomen, because there is no muscle or meat there right now. Good news is that they may not have to rebuild the diaphragm after all now that it's reattached......the best news of course is that they're making long term plans for Eric in his prognosis......many thanks for your concern and good wishes.......
