YIPPEE!!!!
Give Eric an extra hug for me, and tell the big lug I've been praying for him.
He hasn't been able to talk for all this time, boy is he going to have a story to tell.
More good news all the time!
Thanks for reporting the good news, BPB. Let us know how the visit goes!
Oh yeah! Right on! This just keeps getting better and better :-D
I know some of you wanted to know how my visit with Eric went....I called first thing this morning and spoke with his wife and she expressed that she didn't think he was quite ready for visitors, maybe another couple of days. Adjusting to finally having all those tubes out etc. She was very upbeat though (she's that kind of person) and it's great to hear that Eric is resting and gathering his strength rather than fighting for his life....that's incredibly good news.
When someone close to you goes through a struggle like this it puts your own problems in a different perspective doesn't it? Today I will do some yard work, cover the pool, run 5 miles, and anything else I feel like farting around doing without struggling about it. That right there is blessing enough if you think about it.
Oh yeah. Just knowing that he's doing much better works well for now. You'll see him soon enough and of course, we're not going anywhere, so we'll just keep on praying and smiling at all the good news we keep getting :-D
Good to hear that he's getting some tubes out, Bear. My good wishes contine. As you say, it is really true that seeing a friend or family member undergo health problems can give some real insight into the good fortune we have and take for granted. Health is something we enjoy without a second thought until we lose it... then it becomes an over-riding part of our lives.
Everyone, please stay well!
Good thoughts for Eric-
Morale is a state of mind. It is steadfastness and courage and hope.

I was wondering why he seemed quiet.
I'm guessing he's not quiet.
We just can't hear him
Good news about Eric.
Waiting to hear when the first batch of cards get delivered, so the next round can be prepared.
i shouldn't laugh, should i?
Good thoughts still heading Eric's way.
Thinking of Eric and his family.
Love from one being to another can only be that two solitudes come nearer, recognize and protect and comfort each other.

Thinking about Eric, and his family.
Paula - that Han Suyin quote was particularly wonderful. Thanks from north of the lake.
