here's some incredibly good news....Eric is off the ventilator for two hours twice a day and with support on either side by a PT is standing and walking a few steps...still can't talk but they're thinking soon.....then I can visit him......

yeah I look forward to the day he can receive visitors.....he has expressed that he'd rather not until he can talk.....gotta respect that...and also resist the urge to overwhelm him, even with the best intentions, once he's ready to see people. So many well wishers I'm sure will tire him out.

Slow but steady progress is the word folks......still not talking but that will take awhile.....looks like he's going to make it...he may be out of the hospital to attend the summer 2005 Original Cirkus reunion after all...I hope so....

Erics brother just called to tell me that Eric is off the ventilator completely, is talking and can receive vistors. I am going to see him over the weekend, take him the beautiful cards you sent and be thankful for this miracle. Prayers of thanks are in order. Thank all of you so much........
