A unique voice library of people stammering has been set up by British scientists.
The collection consists of almost 150 recordings made over a decade and is accessible to anyone on the internet.
Experts hope it will aid research into stammering, which affects about three million people in the UK at some time in their lives. Professor Peter Howell, from University College London, who is helping to supervise the project, said: "This database and the findings it will bring will offer new hope to people who stammer."
