@inleenindia,
I had the same problem. I knew the subject better than most, and even taught other students the subject. They had better grades, because I just didn't know how to take exams. However, by the simple process of repetition, I remembered the subject studied better than most. It paid off when I actually had to earn a living.

@inleenindia,
Sometimes that's an indicator that you're studying something you're not talented at. It can be a wakeup call to change to something else.

If this class is required for what you really want, then you need to get a tutor. Talk to the instructor and get some contacts with people who took the class last semester or so.

Also, do the extras, if you have the time. E. g. if there is an optional book, read it. Extra credit? Do it. Yes, it's more work in an area you're not doing so well in, but these things can help you.

But first, talk to your instructor about getting a tutor. There is no shame in getting some help.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes Cicerone. Similar things happens with me. I know I struggle a lot and read more stuffs for preparation but someone who I see gives less efforts and get better grade than me.

@jespah,
Thanks Jespah, I know and never hesitate. I am ready to give answers on any topic that I have studied. I am actually student of Business Studies and I feel that from my School education I was getting average marks even having good knowledge. The problem appears to me is that, I get less marks even after explaining all the answers as it was asked...even elaborated more in detail.

@inleenindia,
Then you aren't understanding the material as well as you believe you are.

Again, I suggest that you get a tutor.

In addition to getting tutoring or talking with your teacher, it helps to learn good study habits. Using repetition and studying your notes through many angles helps.
