Some families pass heirloom jewellery from generation to generation -- Margie Clark of McAlester, Oklahoma is giving her kids a shrivelled orange.

The shrunken, rock-hard, nearly petrified piece of fruit has been in her family since 1921, when it was given to her father by his sister, then stored in a trunk.

"I've never heard of a piece of fruit lasting this long," said Clark, who's nearly 80.
