It takes a nine mile walk to work off the calories in one Big Mac Meal, according to nutritionists.
The figure has been revealed as McDonald's launched a new exercise drive to encourage people to walk off their food.
The hamburger giant is selling £3.99 adult Happy Meal boxes containing a step-counter, salad, soft-drink and an exercise leaflet.
The move is being seen as a reaction to criticism that the fast food restaurant is fuelling Britain's fat epidemic.
However, nutritionists told The Sun it would take a 9.5 mile walk to burn off the 1,411 calories contained in a Big Mac Meal.
Even one of McDonald's new Go Active salads would need a 2.5-mile walk.
"It's good to see McDonald's trying to get the nation fitter but their food has too many calories," health expert Nicki Waterman told The Sun.
"It's okay saying replace fries with salad but their dressings have more calories than the burgers."
However, McDonald's said they offered a variety of meals that met the requirements of a balanced diet.

Hiring athletes to promote one's crappy fat-laden food also helps. After all, everyone can be a huge, cut basketball player. It's America!
