Thanks to Col

I must reveal my proposal for a very useful numbering system involving the excellent number thirty-six, divisible by so many other digits

Thus written, "10": ....8, 9, A, B....X, Y, Z, 10, 11.....

The eleven of course being 37

Obviously God wanted us to do it that way, having provided us with exactly the alphabet needed. The techie will argue that it makes the mult table much bigger but we could easily handle it

@dalehileman,
So much for doing math on our fingers, Dale.

@dalehileman,
How is it that you can understand something like this but you can't seem to handle posting images onto A2K?

@rosborne979,
Ros it's a different universe. By comparison the most readable imaging procedure I've seen yet goes on for page after page. I merely maintain it oughta be simplified

...like with text: highlight, copy.... paste....

I'm perfectly serious
Amazed however that you remember my images postings

Yes, am truly embarrassed by my unwillingness to undertake it. One of these days.....

@dalehileman,
Number systems are selected for overall usefulness. Try building a computer without using binary. ASCII symbols depend on hexadecimal. Base 12 has advantages as well, having 6 potential factors as compared to only 4 for base 10.

But, ya know, we still have only 10 fingers.

So, I suppose that God wants the Greeks to use base 34, and Iranians to use base 42... but what number base does God want the Chinese to use?

And, therefore, 27 non factors

Point well taken Neo--tho it's only 25 percent more

@dalehileman,
25% more than what? 27 is 350% more than 6.
