Police tactics stink

Police in Columbia, South Carolina, have got rid of hookers and junkies in abandoned buildings by stinking them out.

They spray the buildings and surroundings with a chemical called Skunk Shot -- which was originally intended as a cat and dog repellent.

"It's probably the worst thing I've ever smelled. It smells exactly like a skunk," said Sheriff's Corporal Danny Brown.

"Nobody can stand it for long."
