@barbarawills2010,
I do not even know where you want to fly to or from so how can one advice you whcih airline.
The one I recommend might not even fly in your area.
As a rule I would say the national airline, but stay away from some of them.

@Region Philbis,
Per Rain Man -

Charlie: Alright, Ray, all airlines. . .all airlines have crashed at one time or another, that doesn’t mean that they are not safe.
Raymond: Qantas.
Charlie: Qantas?
Raymond: Qantas never crashed.
Charlie: Qantas?!
Raymond: Never crashed.
Charlie: Oh that’s gonna do me a lot of good, Ray. You see, Qantas doesn’t fly to L.A. out of Cincinnati, you have to get to Melbourne! Melbourne. . .
Raymond: Australia.
Charlie: . . .Australia in order to get the plane that flies to Los Angeles!

But not so true ---

@barbarawills2010,
Any airline is the safest to fly. All of the airlines working out of first world countries are incredibly safe.

You should be much more worried about driving your car.

There are 295 airlines from 21 cuntries which are not allowed to fly within EU as they are not safe enough. Mostly they are from Africa and Asia.

Hope you can see the list

@barbarawills2010,
I'd say Singapore Airlines. They have one of the newest fleets of all airlines, which is why they have very little security risks.
