Grandfather Neil Barlow, 63, has become Britain's "Master of Sand" when he claimed first prize in the British National Sandcastle Building competition.
Mr Barlow, a company director from Cambridge, created a model of a medieval village he had seen on his holiday in Italy earlier this year with his son, Gordon, 34, an aircraft fitter, and grandchildren Ronny, 14, and Stacey, 6.
Around 250 people entered the contest, organised by Teletext Holidays, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
