HONG KONG (AFP) - A five-year old's innocent call to his mum blew the whistle on his father's cheating ways, leading to a vicious cat fight with the man's young mistress, Hong Kong police and media reports said.
"Mummy, daddy brought a woman home and they are on the bed," the boy told his mother in a phone call, according to an interview with the mother in Apple Daily newspaper.
The mother, 32, separated from her husband, left her son in the father's care every morning as she left for work very early to work as a waitress in a nearby restaurant.
She told the paper she had suspected her 41-year old husband was having an affair but had ignored it for the sake of their young son.
However, after receiving the phone call, she rushed home to find her husband and his 20 year-old mistress canoodling on the sofa.
The two women broke out into a vicious brawl. The mother claimed her head was struck with a hairdryer and a remote control handset.
She was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, a kitchen knife she had allegedly tried to use.
The mistress, her foot hurt by broken glass, escaped from the scene, but later surrendered to police.
