How can I figure out variance of a single number? For example, an article says that 0.20 days has variance 0.05 days. thanks
@davidoff78,
A single number doesn't have a variance but I think you are misreading the article. The article is probably saying that the average response is 0.20 days with a variance of 0.05 days meaning the 0.20 value has been generated from numerous samples.
