hello,

I am currently growing 2 varieties of bean plants (Kidney and pinto) together in a 5 square foot cedar bin. In the last few weeks, just as the flowers started emerging, the leaves on the top started lightening a little. They are still green but have more of a yellowish tint. The plants are healthy but the leaves, underneath are yellow. There is no fungus, and the stems get plenty of air. What could be the problem?

I suspect the problem may be that this summer, at least in New England, has been rather chilly. Many plants need a period of tropical weather to develop properly. It's just a theory as I don't know enough about this particular plant.

thanx for the help
I tried epsom salt, and it worked. Someone told me that if there's a magnesium deficency they might yellow. so far so good
