pueo, it's a ball python. The MOST docile python God made. He'll only grow to about 5-6 ft. I'll take a picture of him for y'all. and the turtles too. I haven't given him a name yet.

I think that's true. It didn't take him 10 minutes to eat...

I'm not familiar with the Ball Python, Onyxelle, but I do have a nice python ball sitting on my desk.
I sometimes roll it around when I'm in a reflective mood.

this is a picture of a snake that is almost identical to mine, except a bit bigger. My snake is only about 1.5 feet right now. When I get my digicam working, will post a picture of MY baby.

I am ickythonaphobic re snakes, but turtles... we have two box turtles at our office, Sally and Spot. More descriptive data upon request. I will move away at snake presence, and so will just listen on this, maybe I can gear myself to at least stand around and begin to appreciate.

I agree that ball pythons are about the most docile snakes. I've never known one to bite. You're lucky that yours takes mice; I had one that would only take chicks.
Raising turtles is another thing. They require ultraviolet lights and extra calcium to prevent a deformation of their shells. Get some plaster of paris and make little chunks of it to put into the turtle tank. The turtles love to chew on them.
I found a website that's just full of information about reptiles, dealers, etc: Kingsnake.com
