Lifeguards and marine biologists in Hawaii are trying to find out why 200 melon-headed whales are hanging out about 100 yards offshore in Hanalei Bay, near a popular surfing beach on Kauai.
One theory is that the 9ft-long creatures were disturbed by Navy exercises that involve tracking underwater simulations with sonar.
The sonar activity has been terminated while experts investigate.
Maybe they want to go surfing?
