What the 8ft-long model does have is a Perspex roof that allowed puppeteers to manipulate the models of Lady Penelope and her chauffeur Parker.
The car, which is being auctioned on eBay, was used in the 1966 movie Thunderbirds Are Go.
Custom-built, the famous car has two front doors, steering mechanics, working lamps, and even leather seats.
Internet auction site eBay said it expected "a frenzy of interest" for the motor, which has the classic FAB 1 number plate.
A live action Thunderbirds movie is due for release on July 23 but features a flying Ford because Rolls-Royce declined to design another model.
Ted Owen, from Cooper Owen, the entertainment auction specialist which is selling the car on behalf of a private owner, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for fans of Thunderbirds to own a piece of history."
