... and we'll see how the plot evolves.
The Earthen Raid
Pouring from the Heavens,
Whipped lightly by the winds--
Not rain,
But scores of angels, as the earthen raid begins.
"Bitten by a butterfly",
Seeking paeans from the sky
Of loneliness and grey stark fear
A thousand angels in each gust of wind
Showed little nothingness in their nothingness,
As the darkened earth balenced on itself,
Uneasy at what it might find in its growth.
Thy sky might have been bright
with the beauty of these beings
But these angels were not the nicey ones
but a darker sort of thing
These angels once were living yet
Come down from heavenly hosts
Hid behind the gossamer wings
Behold a flight of ghosts!
Oh angels on soft feathered wing
I find thee in rainbows on white cloudy days
Heavenly voices gather to sing
Sweet songs of the ages all melting away

(I like the word "nicey")
But the joy is brief
Concealing your freinds
Under God's oak leaf
All is good until life ends
but at the end is the prism
Of light,
A rainbow of beauty
caught up in the light.
but a spectrum in the sky
which has been found
illuminates lucipher's eye
and now is hell-ward bound

But suddenly the chains of dark,
Respond in lifted face of hope,
"The surly bonds" of earth evoke
The never ending song of lark.
