Probe after moonlighting Spanish cop used uniform in strip-t

BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) - Spanish police were investigating charges that a cop illegally used his uniform in an off-duty strip-tease act.

"When he is off duty he can do what he likes," a spokesman said, adding that the inquiry was focusing on the use of his uniform in the act, which is banned.

The affair came to light when eight pictures of the 27-year-old, well-built policeman stripping off his uniform in front of a crowd of women were anonymously sent to Catalan papers.

Witnesses told El Periodico that the 1.90 metre (6 feet 3 inches) tall cop had an "impressive physique."
