CBC's Quirks and Quarks radio program, a robotics episode.

I found this program to be particularly interesting because it addresses new AI that can learn, and not just learn rote information, but which can learn how to "problem solve." This sort of AI (artificial intelligence) will be crucial if we expect to expand into the solar system.

When you to to the linked page, there is a rubric which reads "Listen" which will allow to hear the not-quite ten minute segment.

@Setanta,
It is a very easy algorithm to create AI.

If you write Basic code, like a DOS, instead of a program. you can code with simplicity and crack many barriers. You can connect multiple computers and have one monitor all internet connects without being able to trace it. Detecting hackers and other sources of information.

Coding AI is basic and rudimentary. Learning is as simple as an automatic News update.
