what's the difference between Expressway，Highway，Freeway，Motorway

Highway : a main road that connects cities, towns, etc.

Expressway: a high speed divided highway that may be entered and left only at certain places

Freeway:
1: an expressway with fully controlled access
2: a highway without toll fees

All the above are US English. Motorway is the British English word for a freeway.
