What IP address does Facebook use when notifying you about a login alert?

Just like the questions states, which IP address does Facebook use in their alert to notify you of a login attempt? Is it the public IP or your private IP?

Why would they need to notify you of a log in attempt on your private IP?

Internet IP addresses by their very nature are not private!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about the addresses assign by the router to devices on it network such as 10.1 addresses?

Those are not known and can not be known by anyone not behind the router.
