Massive Attack - Protection
Faure - Requiem
Gershwin - Porgy & Bess
Royksopp - Melody AM
Beatles - Revolver
Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - Rattlesnakes
Gil Scott Heron - The Revolution will not be Televised

But how I can leave out Nina Simone, Billy Holliday, Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and (more recently) St. Germain is difficult to justify. Handel and Vivaldi are also very upset to be left on the subs bench.

Nice List kitchenpete!! Protection is another one I'd have a hard time parting with too. I've always wanted to hear Royksopp, but never knew where to start. Now I do.

Who is Faure? I've never heard of them.

[man with no name and foetus avatar - what do we call you?]

Gabriel Faure - Biography - wrote a requiem mass (full choral work, which I sang as a treble when I was 11)

Royksopp - Melody AM is the only album available yet. Highly recommended chillout electronica from the Norwegians. I've had their new album "Spoiler" on order from Amazon since last November but it still hasn't been released!
