Y'got me going, now, about Venice in the Seventies..
I've just revisted that thread to check if those responders might have stuff on youtube, checking band names.
Lot of people made music there then, and the sounds were part of our lives and our memories of the streets.
Coeur d'Alene Avenue will always recall for me the bongo drummer whose neighbor the cat lady (Fluffer was the cat) would respond against by hitting her cooking pans with, I presume, large spoons. We liked the guy. It was an interracial and interage situation.
When we first moved into our house and were remodelling, we played all sorts of albums, but an odd one that I still remember was one of Glenn Miller's. That fits with the street, as there were some quite old houses, including ours.
