Banking for Touring Musicians?

Anyone have advice about dealing with cash on the road? Between gig pay in cash and merch sales, we would be carrying around thousands in cash. I know there are companies like T-Mobile that allow you to get debit cards and make deposits onto the card to reduce the amount of cash you carry, but I'm afraid that 40 days of cash deposits totaling more than $20,000 would have Homeland Security or the DEA following us around. This is our first time on an extended tour, would be interested to hear how bands deal with this banking/security issue on the road.

@robhill413,
What is wrong with opening an account with a bank that has branches nationwide then taking the cash to a branch office of the bank and making a deposit as needed?
