If only 40% of people have a Bachelor's Degree, why does almost everyone I know have one?

This is not true.. A huge number of my friends also have bachelors degree.

Thanks for the link - well I still cannot answer the posters question as it is not by town. I would imagine this could also vary by town - which would make sense - you would typically hang with people from your town so your personal results could be very different say from some one living in a completely opposite situation where the reverse would be true - hardly anyone attending college.

One thing I do find interesting is females have a higher percentage of 4 year and masters degree than males.
