Hello: can anyone help me out as I think there is a specific word for this. A book you enjoyed but dont wan't to have taking up space on your bookshelves as you know you won't read it again so you give it to a friend and tell them to pass it on too ...

Maybe you could call them PIFs, or Pay it Forward.
I hope you find something specific to books.

I've heard them referred to as "catch and release books".
There's even a website devoted to following your released books: bookcrossing.com
