i have this nokia 1220 phone.
i thought that i would charge it to its fullest. so during the last few days, i turned off the phone. and i just charged it for about 3 hours everyday. i didn't do it in just one day.
i kept charging it, but it didn't show me a sign that it has been full. so i just kept charging it from monday till thursday.
and during those days, i turned on just to play the games for a while.
today, i can't turn it on any more. no matter how many times i have pressed the on button.
and i tried to charge the battery, i don't see a sign of charging at all.
so i am just wondering maybe i have actually overcharged it?
is there anyway to get it back?
Have you try to reset it?
I have a Motorola V300 and is doing that also, the guy at the shop said to reset it or take it apart, sim card and everything and that should help.
probably. i have to go home and read the manual to find the place to reset it.
i certainly don't want to spend extra money buying a new battery.
before you reset it, try just taking it apart - battery and card - and putting it back together, that might be enough. It worked for me the first time it happened.
no, it didn't work.
i tried to just take out the battery. and put it back in again. nothing happened.
i don't know where the sim card is inside.
what is the model number of you phome?
nokia 1220
i suppose that i will go home and try to read the manual, then reset. that is what i was planning to do.
i am jus a little worried that i might have to buy a new battery. that would suck.
Typically there is a tiny hole just big enough to fit the tip of a paperclip into that is used to reset.
there is no reset button. bummer.
i don't have the tool to dismember this phone, either.
I use a medium size hammer and then go to the phone store and pickup a new one.
WHy don't you just go to one of the stores of the service company you have and ask them to check it out? They might be of help!
