Trying to remember how I got that one. I think I made a list of Spooks characters - I used to watch it, so knew who the important characters were, but there weren't many women anyway - and then typed them in one by one with 'daughter of actress'.
Despite all the hints given I'm still struggling with 17 (all it comes up with is Russell Brand), 28, 38 (characters in novel or play?) and 50 (is 'type of wristwatch' a brand name?

Question 38 is perplexing me. Cannot find a common link. Wilberforce was a famous cat at 10 Downing street but none of the other names match. Middle names of Prime Ministers/ Presidents? Wondering if I have one of the answers wrong now but don't think so!

Question 38: Five surnames; Wilberforce, Greig, Gregory, David, and Burnett.

Are these definitely the five names out of the possible 12. Closest I can get are composers from those names but is proving very elusive.

I can only think they are names of horses but have trawled every race history I consider to be "prestigious". I must be off the mark!
Still struggling with 38 - I haven't solved the clue that you have. Any more hints?

New to all of this! You're not the only one way of the mark! Never had much luck with horses! Any one give me a clue for no.19 - Charles Dickens driving me mad.

Despite all the hints to 17, 28, 38 and 50 I'm still getting precisely nowhere. And the questions are so complicated now that I'm sure they're more like the standard of the original GBQ. Will have to leave gaps. But well done to those who have fathomed out the clues!

still struggling with this one. I have taken note of the hints and looked at "what I think is the obvious" and then off at tangents. I thought my googling skills were not bad until now.
And oh yes #50 as well. Where to start?? my last day tomorrow as off on a break. Any help gratefully received before I post tomorrow. Think I have the rest.
