I tired to dye my hair from a dark brown/black color to a red shade (blazing burgundy) and only certain parts of my hair took the dye. Mostly the top of my head about half way down turned this weird faded shade of red. Over the summer my hair was various shades of red but in August of 2014 I dyed my hair black. Can anybody explain why this has happened to my hair? Or offer in tips or tricks to fix this mistake?
Let your hair grow out before doing anything like bleaching or dyeing again.

Yeah bobsal you are right, and I agree with you. Don’t do anything until your hair grow again and I suggest you to take help of professional hair stylist, if you do it again by yourself it is possible to cause damage to hair.
