Why did the Suni invaders name themselved ISIS

They must have known that Isis is the name of an Arab Goddess of the Nile, a women, and we all know how Arabs treat their women.

Isis is an acronym created by the west to refer to the group that calls itself:
Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

There were no Arabs in Egypt at the time that the goddess Isis was dreamed up. Truly, your ignorance is appalling. The organization was originally called ISIL, by the way--Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. Levant--now there's something else for you to look up.

No one here has an anger problem. You have displayed incredible ignorance, arrogance and just plain stupidity. People who are speakers of Arabic do not give themselves English names. Apparently, not only did that never occur to you, but you can't seem to get it through your thick skull. The reaction here is contempt and disgust, not anger.

Not only is it an acrony, it's in english and its geographically wrong. They're is to reinstate a caliphate that covered large parts of the middle east far beyond syria. So Islamic state in syria is more correctly Islamic state in levant http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levant which in itself is a European term not an arabic one.
